Do I want to turn Pers Acct into a product? Not in Seattle. I just can't do it. I'm getting mentally ill here. After I offload Sort, finish reports, and get review and bonus, then we can talk about turning Pers Acct into a product in SF + SD both.

I must start thinking about getting older, making friends, and a family. I will miss Bob, but he has his family here. I don't. He has the Ritas + lots of friends.

San Fran has the big city life and lots of professionals, and San Diego has sun + beaches. I don't know why Seattle can't have gay professionals (5/89: Maybe I should have more friends who are like me even if not marketing or businessmen or laywers), but it doesn't, so I can't stay. I must think about making friends + family!

That pair of homes is my goal! Leave Seattle!

11/91 What about the Memorial Day Pastel Party??

TUES-FRI 5/28 TO 31

Worked on offloading Sort to Steve Zeck.

Wrote Progress Report

Worked out at Body Nautilus Tuesday and was very bored so I went with Dan to Metropolitan on Thursday. Not so bad, joined Metro on Saturday cuz I just could NOT work out at Body anymore.

Wrote up all the burglary claim stuff, and went to Fredericks for prices.

Dining seat covers came Wednesday.

Delivered Sort to Steve + talked about it.

SATURDAY 6/1/85

Went shopping for dinnerware at F+N but didn't find much. Also went to Oriental Rugs in Pioneer Square. Maybe there is one there, but do I want to pay $1800? Home for lunch, upset because the wasn't a single restaurant serving lunch meals on Saturday in Pioneer Square. Then to Body + I just couldn't, so off to Metro + joined! Not very busy and I felt motivated.

Want to see Mask with Bob in Bellevue.

SUNDAY JUNE 2

Early breakfast with Bob. Then we did his accounting at his office. Then off to Bainbridge for a fun little party at Pat Harrison's. Very nice...Lots of Mimosa's. A little drunk. Took Bob home + went to baths. Very quick J/O with "someone."

MONDAY JUNE 3

Groggy this morning. Chiropractor. Go to work to return MAC + distribute Progress Report. Home + do domestic stuff: laundry, grocery shop (with Jean Enerson), pay bills, etc. Back to work to xerox burglary stuff before sending originals off. Still no response from marketing people on Pers Acct.

Also went to Barrier Mercedes and found out Bill's 300D is less than 735 so that's another reason not to get it. Also Body Styles change substantially this fall.

Also I realized that not only does car cost depr + license + insurance + cost of money (in excess of inflation), but also there is the loss of future income after car is totally used up. If you say $10K on a car, it means saving $2500 per year plus the lost income after car is gone. Suppose interest is 10%

Asset income A.T. 10K 900 10.9 981 11.9 1071 13.0 1170

The point is just you've still got $10K when the car is used up, and that can still produce income after car is gone.

The only way I'll be able to get Mercedes or other expensive car is if I can justify it for business. So there's no car I want now, but 2802 is ok for now. But perhaps I should think toward being consultant so I can have business expenses.

Thought about stuff till bedtime.

TUE 6/4-SUN 6/9

VERY BUSY SHOPPING WEEK. CHINAWARE:

Shopped at Fredericks several days and at Bon and some place in Pioneer Square. Bought Noratake Cafe De Soir, very "New Deco," but I didn't feel comfortable with it at home. It's too white and the dark grey border didn't work with the green seat cushions. So I returned that had bought Lenox Chinastone. It's stoneware but it look like Lenox China. It's even translucent, like bone china. And it's Lenox off-white which is like a cream which works well with green. Pattern has green + orange blossoms. I also bought cream colored place mats and napkins. And I took my cutlery into Fredericks to identify. It's Oneida Independence. Great for everyday use and it costs $16.50 per setting.

So at this point I just need to buy second 20-piece china set and accessories and buy serving set of stainless wave.

Also I looked at silver and stainless serving trays for marble table but the sure scratch easily. NO GO.

And I decided that I've got enough glassware for the time being.

English + Germans prefer white: Wedgewood, Hetchenreuter, Villeroy. Americans prefer off white. Lenox is made in America. Mikasa looks so cheap. Dansk costs too much.

CARPET for dining room.

I decided I can't use wall to wall. It would just look so cheap. But do I want to spend $1800? Maybe I can get Persian/Turkish, but they're so ornate and busy...or maybe a simple wool rug, but that would cost $1000 at least.

So I look at all my old haunts for rugs, Chinese style. Fredericks is still to expensive. Nothing at Oriental Gallery. Saw a couple at Golden Horn. Had them delivered yesterday. They left peach one. Its subtle and goes well with green of the seat cushions.
