23rd Plowing & laying by Corn here at House, Plowing Cotton Potatoes Sorghum etc.
24 Same work, Claiborne gone
25. Rained to day Claiborne came Home about night & brot a note from Provo Marshall Danville
26th Rained nearly all night & this morning. Thining & corn at house, & on Creek, Halling wood in evening
27 Raining again to day Thined Corn Creek Plowed Cotton & Potatoes
28 & Garden & Cutting Oats here & at Plantation fine day.
29th Cutting Oats here another fine day Ben here -- Stocking Oats yesterday & to day. Lila's child sick. clear fine weather to Cut Oats

1865 June 29th Lilas Child Died this evening.
30 Buried Lilas child at Plantation began to Plow on Creek yesterday after Dinner Mrs. Fitzgerald Died 30th June wife of Edmd Fitzgerald
July 1st Raining 2 Showers, finished Cutting Oats at home to day Went to Plowing on Creek
2nd Fair day Sunday --
3rd Fair day. Plowing 5 Horses Creek to day Mr. Bybee Sent Joe & Jerry to Plow to day Cutting Oats at Plantation & they will cut mine down There that I sewed myself To morrow & get done
4th finished laying by corn with Plows on creek Plowing sor =ghum corn & Peas working Cotton with Hoes
5. Halled up wheat till evening when it rained
6. Laying by corn on Branches at home, choping in corn above Overseer house
July 7 - 11, 1865
1865 July 7 Finished getting up wheat Plowing on Branch etc.
8th Choping corn on creek Mr Bybee sent me 6 lambs but did not quite get get done Plowing & finished corn on Branch getting up oats this morning Negroes plowing their corn today Hot fair weather, my old sow & 9 yearling Hogs put in Rye & at this morning —
9th. Put up 2 stacks oats this morning Halled up flax Negroes plowing their corn etc. I went to meeting S.S.

10th Rained a light shower & also rained this morning – cloudy Jacob came here last night
11th Rained last night & yesterday Put vinegar in Barrel in smoke house this evening Cloudy & damp weather working new ground cover Claiborne hand is Bad yet & has done no work since he was bucked by Mr. Hunt J Johns? by Henry Worsham
July 12 - 15, 1865
1865 July 12 Put Machine down ready to machine our wheat Rained last night & still raining this morning. Henry bottoming little chair. Henry halling Rails etc firing tobacco — warm & wet weather, my big spotted sow missing out of rye lot yesterday got 16 of my young hogs up in rye lot - 2 missing — Found big spotted sow in lot. had 2 pigs warm weather
13th Thrashed wheat here sent machine to Mr. Hunts place
14th Fixing to stack balance of our oats to day — put up 5 stacks to day & 2 before making 7 stacks here - working new ground, corn=
15 Put 17 yearling hogs in wheat field 1 sow & 6 shoats
Big sow had 2 pigs in rye lot & peach orchard, killed 1 lamb this morning Rained this morning, cloudy to day — Claiborne hand bad yet.
July 16 - 24, 1865
1865 July 16th Cloudy & like for rain Machine sent down to plantation Finished working new ground corn
17th Choping corn. Sent Claiborne after whortleberrys. —
18th. Machined wheat at Aspen Grove to day got out rye & some oats to sow & came up home by night, fine weather
19. I started my waggon & Mr. Hunts to Lynchg to day about 12 oclock Jerry & Richard went to Lynchg. Choping corn on Branches here
20. Chopping corn on Creek Ben belonging to Est. went to CH yesterday to see Doct. Martin
21. Plowing turnip patch, malling wood in Piny field —
22. Waggon returned, Prising tobacco & finished out pt of Hhd
23rd went to meeting Spring Road with Mr. Glass, Ben returned from the CH. Doct Martin done nothing
24 Prising tobacco, carried sorghum mill to Lains to fix I went to plantation with Jacob
