The Treasurer reports the following abstract of Receipts and Expenditures for the 27th year, 1858.

He has received:

From Income of Investments $1,249.00

" [From] City of Boston Scrip, matured 3,000.
" [From] Jona Mann, Superintendent 834.16
" [From] Sundry parties for labor on lots &c 525.
" [From] City of Boston for Scrip and Interest belonging to the subscribers to the Story Statue 662.24
" [From] Sundry parties for J. Mann, Supt 143.50
There remained in his hands Jan 1. 173.89
Due to the Treasurer Dec. 31 65.14 $31,244.61
He has made payments as follows, viz:
To sundry parties for expenses 3,584.55
For interest on Notes for Stone Farm 739.30

This certifies that we have examined the books and accounts of the Treasurer of the Proprietors of Mount Auburn, for the year ending , and have found them correctly kept and properly balanced, with satisfactory vouchers for all payments charged.

The Certificates of Stocks and other evidences of property were found in accordance with the statements in his accounts.

a In the Fund for Repairs there appears to be in his hand, thirty nine hundred and eighteen dollars and 62/100; and the General Accounts of the Corporation are indebted to him in the sum of

Repair Fund

This Fund arises from sums received by the Trustees from Proprietors, and invested under their direction; in consideration of which, the Corporation guarantees the Perpetual Repair of their Lots, or where the sum is insufficient to warrant them in so doing, appropriates the income earned to that purpose.

The Treasurer has in his hands belonging to this Fund the following property - viz:

15 Shares in Atlas Bank - cost 1,470
8 " [Shares] " [in] Fitchburg Raild " [cost] 841
10 " [Shares] " [in] Western " [Raild] " [cost] 1,002.50
Note secured by mortgage on house on Oak St. 4,000. _
