Dear Madam, --
It’s really nice to arrive back from leave just before Xmas and find a box of chocolates waiting for a very greatful chocolate consumer.
My room-mate ---- a Toronto lad and I found the box on Xmas Eve and have been enjoying the chocolates ever since. Anyone casually visiting our room also enjoys a chocolate and second visits haven’t been so casual. The goods are popular.
I would really like to thank the Women’s Air Force Auxiliary properly, but am all thumbs when it comes to putting the proper words in place, so I’ll simply say
Thank you very much.
Sincerely, D E Cameron

Dear Ladies
Your box of chocolates came a couple of days before Xmas and was sure welcome, Sweets is one of the things we get short of over here and when you are lucky enough to get a whole box at once it puts you on top of the world. Thanks a lot.
I don’t' think there is a country in the world that does as much for its boys over here as ours does, and Canadians are the envy of everyone in the barracks.

Mothers:
I was very happy to receive the most welcome box of chocolates. Your box arrived safe and undamaged. The boys in my hut are very grateful to you also and I assure you that if any of them have a nightmare to-night it will be full of little chocolates running up and down.
The boys over here are always a lot happier when a parcel comes from home and they

always look forward to them. You are doing a lot of good not only in the respect of the food situation but also you keep the boys smiling.
Thank you again for the box and I’ll be home to thank you in person soon. I had better close now before this becomes a bore for you.
Ever grateful, Ed Disney
P.S.
I wish you a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year.
You made mine more enjoyable.
