5th. mo. 19th. 5th. day Clear part of the day, threatening rain in the afternoon but it did not come: Bell Coar came home with Emily to stay all night, both went to the Reading Circle. I cleaned the dining room cupboards; Emily and I made a wish, I am to tell her mine, when she is 20.

20th. 6th. day. Clear day: Bell Coar here to dinner, Emily went home with Emily Thomas from school: I cleaned the parlor closet: Joe at work in the garden from dinner time, 'till half past three, when he went to the Dutch Tailors: the mail did not get up 'till 2 oclock today. William hauled a saw-log in the afternoon.

21st. 7th. day Clear day: William at work at his place all day, working corn. only Joe and me here to dinner.

22d. 1st day. Clear most of the day, a slight shower in the afternoon, Jim Stabler brought Lucy home before meeting, he dined here; father and mother got home about half past 12, Joe went down on the Manor from meeting. William went to Olney to tea. Lucy at Harewood awhile after supper.

23d. 2d. day. Cloudy early morning, cleared off before 10 oclock; I spent the day at Uncle Samuel's; Dr. Magruder here to see father in business; Emily came home to school from Uncle E.

5th. mo. Thomas's this morning.

24th. 3d.day, Cloudy early morning, cleared off by 9 oclock; a gust after 8 oclock in the evening; father and mother went to Uncle Samuel's in the afternoon; Lucy went to Fulford in the morning, came home in the evening to get some clothes, and went back; Joe working corn in the meadow: I went to the store in the morning. Margaret Brooke married at 5 oclock in the evening, and Mary E. Owen at 8 oclock.

25th. 4th. day, Clear day 'till about sundown, clouds but no rain: at meeting: William at a stage meeting in the afternoon, at Sandy Spring: he and Joe both at meetings.

26th. 5th. day. Rainy day: nothing of any note happened: William at Uncle Samuel's in the evening:

27th. 6th. day. Cloudy morning, clear awhile in the afternoon, cloudy again in the evening, some rain: Father went to Warner Cooks in the afternoon: Lucy came home from Fulford in the evening; Rachel Billows came in the afternoon, and cleaned the boys room; William took some [strings?] to Sherwood in the evening, to go to the Hospital.

5th. mo. 28th. 7th day. Fair day: father and Joe at work on the road near Ashton in the morning; Rachel Bellows cleaned the dining room, and my room: Hettie Moore dined here and went with Emily to Mary Gilpin's birth day party, in the afternoon: 22 children there.

29th. 1st. day Clear and cool: no one here all day: Joe at Charlie Fletcher and Uncle Samuel's, not at home to dinner or supper either; Lucy at Harewood awhile after dinner: the bride at meeting.

30th. 2d.day. Clear day: William at his place all day: father and mother at Drayton in the afternoon; Minnie Finch here all night; Emily had to come home about 2 oclock sick; Gilpin here awhile in the afternoon. William at the Lyceum after supper

31st. 3d. day Clear day: Christy cleaned the kitchen; Lucy went to J. C. Gilpins in the afternoon: father went to see B. Downe's and to Uncle Samuel's; William at Uncle Samuel's after supper.

6th mo. 1st 4th. day Clear and warm: at preparative meeting: I went to see Annie Marshall awhile in the afternoon; Joe working corn all day: Lucy and mother at Harewood awhile after supper.

6th mo 2d. 5th. day Cloudy all day, 'till about sundown, it cleared off: rained by showers all day: Joe worked corn awhile in the morning then he and William both went to James Holland's barn raising: Joe, Lucy, William and Emily at the Lyceum after supper:

3d. 6th. day. Clear all day: I spent the day at Plainfield, dined at South Plainfield, took tea at North Plainfield: Joe working corn in the meadow.

4th. 7th day Clear day: Joe doing job work: father and mother at Uncle Samuel's in the afternoon, Lucy at Sharon awhile: William went on a fishing party.

5th. 1st day. Cloudy most of the day: Jim Stabler dined here. William dined at Uncle E. Thomas's, went down before meeting and brought Louisa to meeting: Joe went to Burnside to supper and to Warwick Millers after supper: Lucy, Emily and I at Harewood after supper.

6th. 2 d. day Clear 'till about 4 oclock, a severe gust about 5. I dined at Uncle Samuel's and took tea at Burnside father called at Burnside in the afternoon, took Fannie down for me to ride home; he went to Edward Bell's in the morning.

6th. mo. 7th. 3 d. day Clear: Lucy spent the day at the cottage; I went to the store in the morning; father went to Ashton and [?] [?] in the afternoon; Hannah Brooke spent an hour here, while her mother was at select meeting: William at Bentleys after supper, mother and I at Harewood. William went to the Burnt Mill.

8th 4th day Cloudy most of the day, the sun shone out several times, for a little while: at monthly meeting: Kate here awhile in the afteroon. Frank Reese came up in the stage: Lucy, Frank and Emily walked down to Sandy Spring after supper: called Harewood.

9th. 5th day. Cloudy most of the day: rained in the morning, a hard shower at noon; the sun shone out a part of the afternoon, clear sunset: Lucy at Harewood awhile in the afternoon, I went to the store: William at his place cleaning wheat.

10th. 6th. day Clear day: father an Uncle Samuel's and Perry Lagear's in the morning; Lucy called at Burnside in the morning, and to Harewood in the afternoon: William went to the Burnt Mill: I went to the school house in the afternoon, to hear the children recite: Emily and I went to Ashton after supper.

11th 7th day Cloudy early morning, clear most of the day, cool, and cloudy awhile in the evening: William at his place, working corn, Joe
