6th. mo. working corn in the meadow, we had corn in the meadow and were giving it the last working, the first [?]. m. we had here:William Tate, and Elizabeth Matthews came here to dinner, came in the stage: he went to select meeting, both staid here all night; Isaac Dixon and Mary Gardner came during select meeting: Lucy went to William H. Brigg's in the afternoon

12th. 1st day. Clear and cool: no one here all day, except Louis called after meeting; a very large meeting: a sermon from B. Hallowell, Patty Tyson, George Reese, Elizabeth Matthews and Samuel Townsend. Joe went to Phils to supper: William at Sunny Ride.

13th. 2d. day. Clear and cool: Thomas Kemp, his daughter and Margaret Trimble, George Reese and his son, Joseph Lewis his wife and daughter here before meeting, all dined here, also Rebecca Price, Johnethan [?] his wife and daughter, and Mary Gardner; Mary staid 'till after supper, she Lucy and I called at Gideon's awhile in the afternoon; Julia, Eddie, Jorden and Arthur Stabler, and the Hughes girls called in the afternoon; John Cox, Samuel Russell and Debbie Stabler here after supper. Joe at Harewood to supper, William at R. L. Bentleys.

14th. 3 d. day. Cloudy most of the day 'till about 4 oclock, it cleared off. Father at Ingleside both morning and afternoon: Lucy dined at Rockland; I went to Sharon awhile in the afternoon: William at Harts home after supper.

6th mo. 15th 4th day Clear day; Joe went to Washington with hay: father at Perry Lagears in the afternoon, at Ingleside in the morning. I spent the day at Spring Garden, went on horse back alone: Henry and Phebe Russell got there at dinner time. Lucy Emily and I at Harewood after supper; William at William Moore's after supper.

16th. 5th. day. Clear day: Lucy went to the Cottage in the morning, came home in the evening, and called at Sherwood; father and mother at Uncle Samuels in the afternoon: Joe got home from Washington about 5 oclock. William went to William Grove after supper: Dr. W. B. Magruder sent here for a [Reaper?] wheel, had to send the man to Uncle Samuel's to see father. Begun cutting grass at Ingleside; George at it.

17th 6th day Clear and warm: Lucy went to Sharon in the afternoon William at Phils after supper; James Stone here after supper. Frank Reese dined with us.

18th 7th. day. Clear day: I went in the stage to Dr. Magruder's, Joe went up after supper, Eliza Brooke there to supper, Charlie after supper; we went home with them and staid all night: had a most pleasant visit at both places: Emily went to see Maggie [Hoge?] in the afternoon, had two pictures taken in the morning.

6th. mo. 19th. 1st. day Foggy morning, not right bright all day: came to meeting, from Falling Green; home to dinner; Charlie and Fred Stabler here to dinner, friend Ann [Wethereld?], Mary, Joe and the two boys here to supper; Lucy and William at Mary Osborns to supper.

20th. 2d. day, Cloudy early morning, clear most of the day: Lucy put a quilt in frame; I went to Harewood to help make some pads for the Hospital, took them to Sherwood after supper: father at Ingleside awhile in the afternoon. William cutting cloves at his place.

21st. 3d day Clear day: Sarah Stabler spent the day here: Joe cutting grass in the Lime kiln field with the Reaper: Lucy at Harewood after supper; Kate here awhile in the afternoon.

22d. 4th. day Clear day. at meeting; neither of the boys at meetings; father went to see B. Downes in the afternoon, Luggie Holland spent an hour or two with us. George Cashell here before meeting. Joe turning and hauling in the cutting grass: William at his place. Emily went home with Hettie Moore.

23d. 5th day Clear and warm. Kate spent the morning here helping quilt, got the quilt out at 2 oclock. William at his place. Frank came back from [Fulford?] this morning. Joe at work at the

6th mo. hay in the Lime kiln field. Tom Brown helping.

24th 6th. day Clear and warm. busy all the morning, sick in the afternoon: Joe hauling in hay: William at his place. Tom Brown helping. William at Clifton after supper.

25th. 7th. day Clear and hot. Joe and William both work at the hay, finished the Lime kiln field about 3 oclock; Tom Brown helping them, both the men left before supper. Uncle Samuel and Aunt Lizzie here to supper. William at Cedar Lawn after supper. Joe at Ashton.

26th. 1st. day. Clear and warm, 'till about 2 oclock, a cloud and very slight shower, cooler afterwards. I did not go to the meeting; Jim Stabler and Phebe Russell came here from meeting Jim went to Sherwood to supper; William and Debbie came to supper; William went to an orthadox meeting in the afternoon, to Joshua Gilpins to supper. Mercury up to 95 William Schofield engaged a reaper.

27th. 2d. day Clear and warm until about 2 oclock, a gust with hail cleared off about 3 oclock, cool and pleasant. Lucy went to Burnside with Minnie Finch to stay all night;

28th. 3d day Clear and pleasant. father took mother to Uncle Samuel's after dinner went for her after supper: Lucy at Sharon and Fulford in the afternoon: Joe at Ingleside at

6th Mo. work all day, William at his place: Frank Miller came to see father about a Reaper, went on to Uncle Samuel's to see him, bought a machine.

29th. 4th. day Clear and pleasant. Joe at his place all day, William at his place: at meetings, neither of the boys there; Lucy and I went to the Lyceum to the Examination in the afternoon: The Avon Dale carriage came after we were done supper, George drove, Johnnie [Slingman?] in too. Lucy and Emily at Harewood awhile after supper. William went to Uncle E. Thomas's to tell Emily to come up early in the morning.

30th. 5th. day; Cloudy most of the day, 'till towards evening, it cleared off beautifully; Emily started at 4 oclock; slight showers early in the morning, a hard rain about 2 oclock; William went to Fair Hill to the Examination got home about half past 1. Joe at Ingleside 'till the rain came up; Charlie Stabler here to supper; I went to Sherwood awhile after supper. Lucy at Harewood awhile in the afternoon.

7th. mo. 1st. 6th. day Clear and warm: father went in the morning to set up Schofields machine, he and Joe both went to set up Frank Millers, in the afternoon. William went to the Burnt Mill. Lucy at Gidems after supper.
