November 3rd 1851 Weather cold -- I was unwell with a gathering on my jaw and head-ache -- Young Moab shot himself.

----- 5 ---- Went to Elkton with Wm Campbell to election - First election under the new new constitution. 25 names on ticket. Louisa Walmsley had just returned from Phila. Ella recovering slow Stayed all night at Elkton.

All afternoon to hear the result of election. John Mearns married

Monday Nov 10th 1851 John Campbell started for the West. Court in session I went to Elkton for Doctor for Joe.
