20th Rain all day. turned hubs in morning went to Cherry Hill got letter from E. Reynolds. Wrote several letters to N.E. + (F)ort + B.M.H 21 went to Elkton. Thence - Back Creek, saw Morrison, Thompson, Clayton came back to Elkton + stayed all night 22 Went in morning to N Owens, thence to Cherry Hill for noon to see Cameron Owens? Came home after night

Saturday Sept 23 - Birthday - 42 years old Went to Elkton to district meeting - Considerable excite ment -----------24 Sunday----------- Daniel Jr here in morning Warm - Walmsley & Harriet called - Lizzy Wilson here over night. 27 Took Lizzy Wilson to Elkton Whig Convention for County met at Elkton and formed a Turner/Farmer(?) ticket. -------------28------------- Weather cool at night and warm in day time.
