Thursday Sept 25 Weather continues dry working in shop Got my eye hurt with scale of iron - went to Wm Warburton's -------------26-------------- Made well bucket for - Campbell 0 Ellis Reynolds called at noon - went to repair Levi's thrasher Mother went to Cherry Hill ---------------29------------- went to elkton - received letter from McClelland - child has been sick Rain came on at night

Sunday Sept 28th 1851 Rain in morning - clear up Mr Helmbold preached at N L "Where art thou" Gen 3-9 ------------29------------ Milly came home - Looked like rain in evening Sent letter to E. Cloud Esq -------------39------------- Worked in shop at C. Carters cart - -----------Oct 1---------------- Election for Congress - Evans and McCullough candidates The day passed off quiet McCullough's majority at Elkton Stayed until the call(?) came in at 11 oclock - Came up with H. C Mackall

Oct 2 - 1851 Pleasant day - Aunt Rachel came to see us and Ella Mr Price taken sick ----------3----------- Aunt R went to Miss B's I went to Elkton.
