Cold - worked in shop --- 3rd -- Cold & windy- went see Westin Miller in morning and by Marley to Battons --- 4 -- Helped Rachel & Charley to kill hogs- our hog weighs 197- Went with Mr. Price and B. Morris to Cherry Hill. --- 5 -- Went to Carter's and She___ Mill. Came home by Yorke's + Mr. Scarborough's Saturday 6th Went to Elkton. dined at Roberts.

-- Sunday 7th- Was at home in fore noon In afternnon, went for Mother Looks like for rain. --- 8 -- Looks stormy- worked in shop in morning- in after noon repaired curtains of carriage for Mr. Price Little H. cut his first tooth. --- 9th -- Went to Elkton with V. dined? with sh__- Bought (____) of Mr. Morris weighed 137 lbs -- 10 - Worked in shop- appearances of snow and rain. Cleared up at night

11th I am unwell with headache- weather pleasant --- 12-- Still unwell - went to Henry's and got my hair trimmed- Frank Jervis at our house today --- 13-- Went to Cherry Hill Cloud Carter fixing up for daguerrotypes saw Mr. Jervis. 15 Dec. Went to Elkton early in morning- Bought 200 ft of boards for school house @ $2. Took dinner at Mr. Morris Snow storm --- 16 -- Very cold commenced repairing school house took mother home. --- 17--- cold- freezing hard Worked at school house ---18-- Went in morning to D.J.s cold- ice 4 1/2 inches Worked at school house in afternoon

Dec. 19 1851 Went in morning to survey For H. McCullough. He did not attend. Came home by Cherry Hill.
