Steph Scotten started for home about 9 a.m. Afternoon R I J went to Glen Cove for the first time since before he went to Philad Bro R came back with him Charley went to Mr Wilsons to play with Jimmy and I consented to his staying all night I went to the village. Caldwell sent 900lbs of hay-

Went to Friends Meeting after dinner Bro R & I went to Jos: Jewett's and remained until after tea. Snow'd at intervals all the afternoon & eveing.
Snowing Monday 7 30
Snow 4 or 5 inches deep. Sent Dan to Glen Cove with the carriage to take Bro R up. as soon as he returned I was obliged to go up to the Cove to see Mrs Gilmore whom I bled. Cousin R I J went to the "Cove" after dinner.

Spent morning in the office making monograms. Mr. J. Mc.Ilvaine spent the afternoon with me also Capt Burton & A J Caldwell. Jimmy Wilson came to spend the night with Charley.

Copied "circular" for R.I.J. before noon after dinner Mr Isaac C Wilson called at office also Terry Mills Dr Stump H C Stump A Holloway, Isaac Thompson & others. Went to I Thompsons before tea. Harriet & the children & I took tea at R I J's. Wrote to Bro: Chas:

Dr Whiteford dined with me. Went to the village after dinner. Bro: R came up to tea after which he and I went to Mrs Mary N Worthingtons and spent the evening.

Worked at my model of improved "power dip fish net, the nets so constructed as to deliver the fish into a hopper or shute (by means of the screw or auger principal and gravity.) and thence to a line box or tank. Bro R walked up to the bore. Mr Cooley called for advice & medicine.

Went to Darlington to the store before dinner. Recd letter from Mrs Boyce. Br R came up from the Cove with Dan whom I sent after him.

Rainy morning. After dinner Bro R & I went to Mr Cooleys and remained until after tea.

Wrote and mailed letter to Mrs Agnes L Boyce. Went uo to Darlington before dinner. Bro: R walked up to Glen Cove. Received Dressing gown by express and stage from sister Harriet in Philada Wrote to her acknoledging it.
Clear - Tuesday 15 28.
Staid about the office all day. Harriet planted tomato seed in the hot beds. Hugh Smith called in the evening for medicine for his child.
Clear High Wind Wednesday 16 32.
Very heavy storm of wind & rain in the night. Recd: letter from Bro Chas: Gave note to Joseph Hopkins for Ninety days. $21.00 Bro Richd: came up from the Cove after tea.

Beautiful day. after dinner I went to Gorrells and vaccinated two of his children from there to Glen Cove. called on way home at Mr Wilsons and prescribed for his infant, also for Mr Coolely's child. Bro R came home with me.
