Clear . Sunday, March 29, 1870 30.

Beautiful day. Bro R & I went to meeting before dinner and to Friend Jno: W Coale's after noon returning home to tea. R read to us in the evening one of Beechers sermons.

Cloudy. Monday 21 35

Was called about daylight to go to Francis. J. Hopkin's and was detained until aout ½ past one 0'clock, left a fine little girl as an addition to their family. R I J and H C. C. went to Bel Air.

Clear Tuesday 22 39°

Went to Frank Hopkin's and the village. Charley fell, and dislocated, his right arm at the elbow joint and fractured the internal condyle. After noon was called to set a broken leg of one of Saml: Days twin boys (Alonzo) the right thigh. Bro R came up after tea to spend the night.

Clear. Wednesday, March 23, 1870 32°

Bro: R walked to the Cove. I went to Jos: Jewett's and Saml: Day's. Johnny Worthington called to see Charley. Mailed letter to Bro: Chas.

Clear Thursday 24 29°

Went to Wilson's mill and sent home 4 bushels ship stuff by Jno: Bird. from there to F Hopkin's and Saml Day's. Sent Dan to Mill for Flour & corn meal. Bro R came up from Glen Cove. Mr & Mrs Cooley spent part of the evening with us.

Cloudy. Friday 25 33

Harris Gordon (colored) called and was prescribed for. Thompson also called for med: & advice for his wife's aunt. Bro R came up from the cove.

Cloudy. Saturday, March 26, 1870 33°

Went to Saml Day's before dinner afternoon. Went to the village to Magistrates Court. Joshua Gorrell called for medicine for his child after tea at the house.

Heavy Storm of Wind & Rain Sunday 27 40½

Heaviest Storm of wind and rain we have had for a long time. Bro R & I dined at R.I.J's. Storm continued until about dark. The Gale was furious about noon, has blown down many fences & doubtless done much damage to shipping on the coast.

Cloudy Monday 28 39½

Took Bro R to Glen Cove called at Mr Wilson's and prescribed for their servant girl. After dinner went to Saml Days and readjusted the apparatus used in the reduction of fracture of his sons thigh. F.J. Hopkins brought me 2 barrels of corn.

Clear. Tuesday, March 29, 1870. 38½

Went to Joshua Scottens after breakfast and left them a fine boy about ½ past 12. Jimmy Wilson spent the afternoon with Charley.

Clear. Wednesday 30 39°

Went to Scotten's Saml Day's and dined at Glen Cove. Mrs Mary Worthington and daughters and son John. called R.I.J. went to Philadelphia. Capt: Burton called Bro R came up in the evening.

Cloudy. Thursday 31 42½

Bro R & Capt: Burton walked up to the Cove. Jas: Forwood called at the office. Mr W Wilson & Bro Richard called at the office in the evening. John Reily called for advice & med: R. McNutt worked all day fixing the cellar doors.

Cloudy, Windy. Friday, April 1, 1870 41

Went to the Village. Called at Gorrell's and purchased wood of Mr Johnson. Hauled a load of wood with cousin R I J oxen.

Rainy. Saturday 2 41.

Very rainy disagreeable day. Mr Wilson brought Bro: R up from the Cove. Watson went to Lapidum for R.I.J they returned about dusk.

Rain. Sunday 3 40.

Disagreeable day. After dinner I went to Saml Day's taking Bro R with me as far as Mr Wilson's, we both returned to tea. Wm Coule took tea and spent evening with us. Read Beechers sermon and one of Elias Hick's aloud.
