Snow hail & Rain Monday, April 4, 1870. 39°

Extremely disagreeable day. Sent Dan to the Cove with Bro R. after dinner I went to Wm Webster's and Glen Cove, brought R with me as far as Mr Wilson's Lanced a felou for Joshua Gorrell. and prescribed for his infant.

Cloudy. Windy. Tuesday 5 32½

Cold disagreeable day Jno: Reiley Called for advice & med. Went to Isaac Thompson's prescribed for his wife & vaccinated two children Bro R came up from the Cove with cousin R.I.J A J Caldwell called in the evening.

Cloudy. Wednesday 6 41°

"Tinkered" about home all the morning, went to Darlington afternoon.

Clear Thursday, April 7, 1870 40

Beautiful day. Isaac Thompson called for advice & med. also Harris Gordon. Recd letter from Sister Mary.

Clear Friday 8 39

Bro R started (in the stage) for Balto: & Riverside. I went to Thompsons Mrs: M Worthington's & Miss M Cooley's. Mrs Parker Forwood called for advice. Went to Saml Day's & called at Mr Wm: Wilson's. Sheriff Morgan & a jury, condemned a lot of ground on the cor; of Saml Holloway's land for a school house.

Clear Saturday 9 39°

Was called to Marion Gilmore's before breakfast left them a fine boy born about 8 o'clock came back home before dinner calling on the way to see Jno. M Cooley's little son. Went to Isaac Thompson's after dinner.

Cloudy Sunday, April 10, 1870 40

Messrs Cooley, Warfield & Wilson called at the office. Went to Gilmore's and dined. called on the way home to see Dr Whiteford.

Cloudy- Monday 11 50°

Went to Glen Cove and spent most of the day. Rained almost all day. Called at Saml Day's and Mrs: Wilsons. Harriet recd a letter from her mother.

Clear - Windy Tuesday 12 50

After dinner went to Glen Cove. Mrs Henry Hopkins called also Mrs: Mary Worthington.

Beautiful day. Bro: R & Hallie Lea arrived in the stage, R with a sprained ancle. Went to the village afternoon. Moved the flowers out of the office.

Cloudy - Thursday 14 57°

E Dare and wife came from Little Britain. Went to Jas: Forwood's.

Clear - Friday 15 60°

Beautiful day. Very warm. E Dare & wife returned to Lancaster Co: Mrs Cooley called for medicine for her infant. Took H Lea up to the village.

Cloudy - Saturday, April 16, 1870. 45°

Went to Glen Cove to see Mary Anna Gilmore who has taken cold from being without fire in her Room last night, when it blew up cold from the East after a hot days sunshine. P. J. Forwood called for med: & advice. H. Lea, bro R & I took tea at R I J´s. Raw East wind & drizzling, fires comfortable.

Rain Sunday 17 48

Went to Marwin Gilmores before dinner - staid about - home all the afternoon. Rained quite hard afternoon and all night.

Rain - Monday 18 49.

Took Bro R to Glen cove disagreeable, most of the day. Appeard to have cleared off towards sun down, but clouded up again.
