Mr. Caldwell sent me 1100 lbs of hay - Took the children to school in the carriage through the Rain. Took Hallie Lea up to the Cove & Returned to dinner. Recd letter from F. Tyson.

Drove over to Jno: W Coale´s. Susan, Sallie Jas: & Mm. Coale took tea and spent evening with us. Marvin Gilmore called for med: & advice.
Cloudy - Thursday 21 48.
Dr Whiteford called - Went to Saml: Day´s and removed apparatus from his boy´s fractured thigh. After noon went to Mrs Worthington´s taking the two Hallies and Willie. I called at I Thompson´s and we called at J. C Worthington´s. Bro R came up from Cove.

Mailed letter to Sister Beulah Mr J. C. Wilson & H W Hopkin´s son Harry called for advice & medicine. Went to Jacob Hopkin´s to visit his daughter Margaret, (prescribed for her.) Re vaccinated J. Gorrell´s children. Dr Stump called. Took Hallie, H Lea & Willie to Mr: W. Coales spent afternoon & took tea - Beautiful fine in direction of Havre De Grace and the most magnificent meteor starting in the N and after rising nearly to the zenith seperated in two and lost itself in the South.

After dinner went to Gideon Smiths with the two Hallies. Staid to tea. Miss M Ramsey & H C Stump called after tea & spent an hour with us -

Bro R came after break fast. I took Hallie Lea & Dora to Friends Meeting. After noon, Friends Jewett & Susan Coale came also Jas: & Isaac Coale Frederic Tyson Moores Morthingston & Lizzie Smith & Jas Massy. F Tyson & I sat up until quite late taking over "old friends & old times."

After breakfast Cousin R I J took F Tyson up to Glen Cove. I follow´d after and Called at R Bladen´s Saml Day´s & Jas: Jewetts. Annie Martin called & had teeth extracted. Harry Hopkins called. F Tyson left for home at 3 o´clock p.m.

Worked in the lawn dressing up the flower beds & shrubbery After dinner took both Hallies & Willie to Jas: Jewetts. Bro R came home with us.

Tinkered around in the morning had very early dinner and all went to Glen Cove and spent the afternoon Returning towards evening through a thunder storm. left H Lea and Willie at R I J´s. Bro R came home with us. Hallie Recd: a letter from her mother. Wm Webster worked all day in the garden -

Bro R started before breakfast. Sent the children to school in the carriage - Cousin R I J spent part of the morning in the office. Took the Hallies and Willie to Caldwell´s to tea. Returning about dark. Wm & Jas: Coale spent the evening with us. -

Quite cool but a beautiful morning. Sent Dan to Glen Cove. Went to Orthodox meeting Morning & afternoon Dr. Thomas of Balto: & friends. Haviland & Valentine speaking. Took both Hallies & the children to Mr Wilson´s to tea. Bro R came home with us.

Went to Orthodox meeting taking Hollie Lea with me. Bro R had a chill and is quite unwell. Jas: & Wm Coale A J Caldwell & Gideon Snith's daughter called. Prescribed for H. Water's daughter Maggie & Mrs Cooley.

Cousin R I J called whilst we were at breakfast. Bro R better & walked to Mr Wilson's. Hollie Lea left for home in the stage in company with Friends Valentine and Jessee Tyson. Recd: & re-mailed letter to Hallie Lea. Harriet recd. letter from her mother announcing her return to Lan Co:
