{27} {No 14} Monday March 8th/75 6 1/2 O clock P.M. The City Council met at the Meeting house pursuant to adjournment. Roll call; a quoram present. Prayer by councilor Laritz Larsen. By requesty of councilor R. N. Allred the council releived him from servin as one of the committee of Finance. On motion of R. N. Allred councilor J. R. Allred was appointed to serve as chairman of said committee of Finance. An ordinance was passed repealing ordinance No. 41 passed Jan 25th 1875, regulation houses of amusement. Motioned by R. N. Allred and seconded by J. F. Allred and passed by the council that Lauritz Larsen & D. H. Allred be a committee to wait on Wm S. Barney the assessor and collector o obtain information respecrting the progress in collecting the taxes for 1874; Council adjourned till Mar. 15th/75 O clock P.M. closing prayer by J. F. Allred. {no 15} Monday march 15th/75 &. O clock P.M. The city council met at the meeting house pursuant to adjournment. Roll call: a quoram present. Prayer by J. F. Allred. Upon discussing the bounderies to which to extend the assessment of the city taxation is was mentioned by A. Acord & seconded by D. H. Allredand voted by the council; that the subject be postponed till the next meeting of the council. A resolution was passed by the council that the time for the assessment of the tazes for the year 1875 and posting a list of the same be extended from April 1st untill the first say of june in the current year. Adjourned till Mon. march 22nd/ 75 7. O,clock P.M. Prayer by D. H. Allred

{28} {No. 16.} Monday March 22/75. &. O clock B.M. The city coincil met at the meeting house pursuant to adjounrment; Prayer by the Mayor. Roll call; a quorem present. The chairman of the committee of Finance reported a settlement with the city Recorder andn Treasurer up to December 22 1874 which was accepted by the council; and appropriation of ($12,15) twelve dollars and fifteed cents was made to complete the pay= =ment in full in full to said city Recorder and Tresurer for his services up to the date of Dec 22nd 1874. The subject of tazation was still postponed untill a future meeting of the city council The council adjourned till Saturday the 27th March 1875, 7, O'clock P.M. Closing prayer by S. B. Frost. {No. 17} Saturday March 7th/75. & O'.clock P.M. The council met pursuant to adjournment at the meeting house. Roll call, A quoram present. Prayer by Rasmus Justesen. A license was granted to the Spring City Relief Society during the months for ($1) one Doll, Motioned by S. B. Frost and seconded by J. F. Allred and sustaind by the coincil; that the city taxation of Spring city be extended to the chartered limits of said city. Motioned by S. B. Frost & seconded by J. F. Allred; that the taxes of Spring City for 1875 be assessed at one half of one per cent; which was sustained by the counci. S. B. Frost and J. F. Allred were appointed a committee to wait on Wm S. Barney and ascertain if he would accept of the appointment of ity assessor & collector for 1875. Prayer by D. H Allred. Adjounred till Apr. 5th/75 7 O. clock P.M.

{29} {No 18.} Monday April 5th/75 & O clock P.M. The city council met and the meeting house pursuant to adjournment Roll cal, A quoram present. The mayor being absent S. B.. Frost was chosen Mayor Pro tem. Prayer by J. F. Allred. The Council accepted the report of the committee which was appointed to visit the assessor & collector. Wm S. Barney was appointed assessor and collector his term to commence on the fifth of April 1875 and end on the first of April 1876. Adjourned Sine die {No 19} Monday May 10th/75 1. O clock P.M. The City council assembled at the Union Hall and passed an ordinance appointing Sam. R. Aiken to the office of assessor and collector of city taxes in Spring City in place of Wm. S. Barney deceased. Adjourned till Saturday May 15th/75. 4. P.M. {No. 19} Saturday may 15th/75. 4. O.clock P.M. A minority of the city council met at the Union Hall and adjounred till Saturday May 22/75 4. O.clock P.M. {No. 20.} Saturday May 22/75. 4 O clock P.M. The city coundil met at the Union Hall pursuant to adjournment. Roll Call. The Mayor being absent councilor S. B. Frost was chosen Mayor Pro. tem, Prayer by councilor Lauritz Larsen. A petition was presented to the council signed by F. Olsen & calves running at larde in the streets of Spring City; which was passed in the hands of the Judicial Committee.

30 An ordinance relating to clearing the streets and sidewalks of Spring City was refered to the Judicial committee. An ordinance was passed appointing George Brough to the office of City Surveyor. Closing Prayer by D. H. Allred. Adjourned Sine Die, {No.20} Thursday May 27th/75 6 O'clock P.M. The mayor convened the city council at the Meeting Housse. Roll call. A quorum present. Prayer by D. H. Allred. An ordinance was passed by the council relating to the clearing of the streets and sidewalks of Spring City. A license was granted to the Spring City Cooperative Mercantile Institution to sell Spiritous, vinous & Fermented liquors for six months from May 4th 1875 for $12 dollars. A resolution was passed extending the time of assessment of the city taxes and posting a list of the same till July first 1875. Samuel Allred presented a bill of five dollars for police service during five months passed up to this date: which upon the motion of J.F. Allred & seconded by A. Acord was granted by the council. closing prayer by A. Acord. Adjourned till Wednesday June 2/75 6 O'clock. PM {No. 20}Wednesday June 2/75 6 O'clock P.M. The city council met at the Meeting house pursuant to adjounrment. Prayer by Lauritz Larsen. Roll Call. A quorum present. An Ordinance Regarding cleanliness as to water ditches in Spring City was passed by the council.

31 Also an Ordinance appointing Reuben W. Allred to the office of street supervisor of Spring City for one year. The Judicial committee reported unfa= =vorable to the passage of a bill restraining calves run= =ning at large in the streets of Spring City as prayers for by F. Olsen and seventeen others. Closing prayer by Reuben W. Allred sr adjourned sine Die

No.23 Monday June 21st 1875. The Mayor convened city council at the Meeting House. On the petition of Nielsen Brotherss for a retail liquor license; a motion was made by councilor J. F. Allred and seconded by A. Acord and carried by the council Granting them a retaill license from July first to Oct. first in 1875 for Eight Dollars to retail spiritous, vinous & fermented liquor at their store house on Lot 4, Block 20 in said city. A. Acord and D. H. Allred were appointed as a special committee to examine a erossing in the streets north of Wm Scott's and determine upon the necessary materials and amount of labor required for repairing the same and report at the next meeting of the council. Adjounrment sine diee No. 25. Monday Sept 27th 1875. The Mayor convened the City Council at the meeting house. Roll Call, A quorum present. Prayer by coun. J. F. Allred.
