Don't you think it odd that whenever a Negro's human rights are violated all the northern papers and politicians pounce on it but nothing is said or done whenever they violate our human rights? For instance, I am right now telling you that our human rights have frequently and flagrantly been violated by the local Negroes. What, if anything are you going to do or say about that. Are you going to sit down and write a sob story to the Journal about that, or keep still, like all the others, about it. The silence of the others is deafening.

The black bums have thrice battered my sick body for no reason at all other than the savage delight they had derived from it and this will long be remembered, believe me, particularly when I hear the word "brotherhood" mentioned. They are so damn dumb that while resisting arrest they fight or BITE the cops (like wild animals) and thus multiply the charges! Sure, in this coddling city they abuse the cops, too, and usually get by with it for they are merely poor "misunderstood" people. I really don't know just what the innocent targets of these idiots are supposed to be. Maybe it's damn fools. Anyway, that's exactly the way we have been treated, while their would be "leaders" who are worth about half a cent a ton have been making highly ludicrous excuses for their barbaric behavior, and casual code of morals which preclude sanity, no matter how you slice it. The three wild, wanton, and wholly unwarranted attacks, of course, plus many other local crimes from purse snatching to hair-raising rapes is more than ample proof of their low mentality and moral status.

Briefly I'm sick and tired of being slapped around by brainless blacks whose boozy blocks ought to be knocked off. That's the only kind of "language" they understand. We feel like leaving our native land, too. It is nothing but a jungle now, anyway.

Little did I dress while serving my country as a 14-year old child that the day would come that I'd be slapped around by such stupid creatures. It is, to say the least, a perfect shame. However, everybody sticks up for them, and the politicians are scrambling for their votes.

It is hoped you'll not be too hard put to acknowledge this letter kind sir. But, please don't get in line for a lot of other people are way ahead of you, especially City Hall and the "Dynamic leaders" down there. And are they ever "dynamic!" That is, at making Amos & Andy excuses for Negro crime and delinquency which has reached hurricane proportions in every major city in the country. In that, too, they are "leaders." Bastardy is another thing they excel in and come up here where the laws are lax, from the southand "suckerize" the tax-payers. In Chicago, for instance, 89% of ADC goes to illegitimate Negro children and only 11% to the whites, which certainly is no laughing matter either. Morover, their crime rate is 10 to 1 compared to other citizens. In a country like ours which is supposed to be highly cultured such stupid conditions should not be allowed to exist. It is a very sad commentary that they do exist.

Dear Madam:

Speaking about innocent victims, I am wondering just why nobody has written any letters to the local newspapers about the innocence of the many white girls and women who have been raped by the Negroes in this city as well as elsewhere. It seems to me that these horrible and hair-raising rapes were far more shocking and serious than the attack that reportedly had been made on a Negro woman recently down south which had been given nationwide publicity. I believe I have already told you about the innocent little white girl in Chicago, I have already told you about the innocent little white girl in Chicago, who had been forced (at knife point) by a Negro man to leave a Catholic church (where she had been kneeling at prayer) with him and then raped the child without giving her a chance! Now, then, if you can think of a rottener or more pathetic crime than that, I wish you'd please let me know. Don't forget that this had happened in the House of God to a mere tot and in my estimation it exceeded in brutality anything that Chessmanhad ever done or at least it was comparable to Chessman's crimes. However, I don't recall reading a single word about the colored rapist in Chicago in our local press. I don't remember seeing anything about it either in the Journal or the Sentinel. Well, let's turn the tables, and assume that the innocent church victim had been a negro child; what do you supposed would have happened then? I'll tell you. They would try to make a federal case out of the church incident. Even President Eisenhower himself would have heard about it. In fact, we'd never hear the end of it if the victim had been an innocent Negro child. Yes, indeed, whenever the races are reversed then it is an entirely different story. This, of course, is a dirty, rotten, shame, as well as a reflection on the thinking of our unthinking people, including the politicians who are talking about, but certainly do not practice "human rights" for all. As the innocent victim of three vicious negro attacks I know from my own personal experience whereof I speak. As stated in prior correspondence words cannot adequately express how heartsick and frustrated I'm feeling about these three brutal and brainless attacks on my sick and suffering person as a totally disabled veteran. My picture, of course, wasn't in the papter. Maybe I have the wrong color skin and deserve no such consideration.

The so-called Negro "leaders", of course serve and are loyal to their own people. This self-servitude has been showing itself very plainly for a long time. They certainly are not concerned with the human rights of us innocent white victims. The three attacks on me plus the phony police report by Negro detective Dewey Russ the details of which I had outlined in another letter have been condoned all the way to City Hall and our Alderman, Mrs. Vel Phillips. Well, what of the violation of my human rights...as an innocent individual...by the Negroes. Would you have any comment about that or is the subject a little bit too "touchy" for you, too?

Anyway, I do wish you would kindly give some real hard thought to the other side of the story; my side of it. How, for instance, would you feel if you were in my shoes or if some one near and dear to you had been raped by a negro? People, of course, seldom care what happens to others and it has to first hit home. The three attacks on me had been inexcusable, and instead of making idiotic excuses for their indecency, their would-be leaders ought to do something intelligent to curb their barbaric behavior and uncivilized conduct which, as I have said before, precludes sanity.

Their self-proclaimed preachers in the store front churches also hoot and howl and look like something the cat dragged in.

Apparently these phony preachers have some kind of a "right" to call themselves "Reverend," without having gone to school beyond the 3rd or 4th grade according to their poor grammar and the crude writing on the windows of the store front churches. Any Tom, Dick or Harry can if he so desires get into the act and go into the store front church business just like that. No qualifications are necessary. The preacher can be non-literate or even a lunatic such as the guy who not long ago killed a white woman and a policeman. I have talked with quite a few of them myself and believe me as ministers they sure sere no great shakes. They left much to be desired. So, who cares what candidate for Alderman they have endorsed when they evidently know no better.

They are very easily swayed. Senator Humphrey right now is "working on them" for President. He, too, is a champion of human rights for all...and how! The White House is nothing to sneeze at, of course, so he is scrambling for their votes.

Little did I dream that someday I would be slapped around by stupid Negroes and on top of it be discredited by a Negro detective. Yet, Mrs. Phillips in connection with the civil rights issue had been talking about "conscience" while at the same time condoning the great wrong and injustice that had been done to me by detective Dewey Russ. Wasn't this a little bit inconsistent? However, if she can, let Mrs. Phillips explain her position about this to you or anybody else. I defy her to show where Dewey Russ was not in the wrong.

Words cannot adequately express how heartsick I'm feeling over the three horrible and tension-laden attacks which had been made by negroes on my sick and suffering person as a totally disabled veteran, particularly the wild, wanton and wholly unwarranted attack that had been made on me sometime ago at a nearby Goodwill store, while I was there with Mrs. Evans with whom the trouble started, and I was only a blameless bystander minding my own business, upon which attack a false, malicious and misleading police report had been made (in writing) by Negro detective Dewey Russ, who also had discredited me. My only offense was the fact that I happened to be on the scene with Mrs. Evans, when this brainless and barbaric attack took place, for no reason other than the savage delight the black man had derived from it. This man had acted more like an enraged beast than a human being. I had also once been hit in my my TB damaged chest and knocked into a gutter by a gang of young Negroes. Still another attack had been made on me one night last summer, on the street, by a "wolf pack" while I was on my way home from a nearby grocery store. In other words, I have thrice been slapped around for nothing by these stupid slobs. However, no one has been interested in my innocence or the fact that I have been thrice abused, hurt, harmed and injured by negroes. My picture has never appeared in the paper. None of the professed "champions" of human rights for all has ever lifted a finger to help me Which, of course, is real "cozy" for the colored citizens who flagrantly violate the human rights of us white citizens and get by with it. Detective Dewey Russ certainly wasn't concerned about my "dignity" or human rights when he discredited me in his rotten and ridiculous report. This was a stupid, stumbling and bumbling report. In this asinine report Russ had asserted that the incident did not happen the way I said it had happened and that I was "only trying to make trouble." This was a filthy falsehood and he ought to feel ashamed of himself, for Mrs. Evans with whom the trouble had started in the first place, as a "participant" and witness to the utterly unprovoked attack had given him exactly the same veracious version I had given him myself. So, what of the information Mrs. Evans as a witness gave Dewey Russ? Did not the incident happen the way she said it had happened either and WHY did Dewey Russ completely omit Mrs. Evans statement (as a witness) from his report? I'd certainly like to see him "crawl" out of that.

The crux of the whole situation was the fact that Dewey Russ had failed for obviously crooked and dishonest reasons to incorporate Mrs. Evans' name as a witness in his report...and mentioned my name only...in a highly derogatory manner, which he had absolutely no right or reason to do. Furthermore, it was a very ignorant and witless thing to do to a perfectly innocent person and lacked the integrity and intelligence of an insect. Too, it was an insult to the intelligence for it (the report) was so patently wrong and improper that even a child could see through it. Naturally, Mrs. Evans name as a "partaker" as well as a witness should have appeared in the report. One need be no mental giant to know a simple little thing like that. The truth of the matter is that he considered himself 'clever' and took me for a damn fool. Then, afterwards, stung by his own stupidity fellow-officers of his had made several personal calls on me for the purpose of silencing me, using, their official positions to bluff, bully and browbeat me. They 'commanded' me to cease complaining about Russ...or else! Being in the right, I of course, was beyond bluffing. As a matter of fact, these officers had even made cutting remarks about my sanity! They used Gestapo tricks and tactics on me, but I still wouldn't be intimidated since I was entirely innocent of any wrongdoing and had merely been telling the gospel truth about the phony police report. The 'mental monkeyshines' did not scare me a bit either. The Germans had used it on the innocent victims before the "National Socialist Peoples Tribunal" whenever they framed up on these poor, innocent people. Calling an innocent victim 'crazy' is a real cozy and convenient excuse for the cops whenever they do something wrong and want to crawl out of it. Anyway, one of the cops, a lieutenant must have taken me so for a stupid slob, too, for he tried to hand me a silly sop; he said Russ in his "cukey" report had merely expressed his own, personal opinion! Well, since when have the police been substituting their own personal opinions for the truth? But, very well. For the sake of argument, let us assume that the incident did not happen the way I said it had happened...then what about the way Mrs. Evans said it had happened or was she supposed to be 'crazy' too? If I was a liar myself then so was Mrs. Evans. Speaking of the way the incident happened, or didn't happen how in the hell could Russ be sure of anything he said in his nutty report when he himself was not there when the incident happened...but we ourselves were there. If what he said in his rotten and ridiculous report did represent his own personal opinion, why it sure wan't an 'educated opinion'; it was a very ignorant and stupid one.

I just wanted some of the southern Senators like Mr. McClellen to know how the innocent victims of the colored barbarians are treated in this city, and how much regard they have for our 'dignity' and human rights, when the races are reversed and a white citizen is hurt, harmed, abused and injured by the black barbarians.

Last summer when I had been attacked by a negro "wolf pack" on the street there had been many similar attacks on the street on white citizens including a brutal attack on the aged in-laws of our Assemblyman, Norman Sussman. Chief of Police Johnson had attributed this rash of negro crime and delinquency to the "hot weather" which, of course as a pretty wrongheaded alibi and when I took exception to it in a letter to the Mayor he said I had "attacked" the police!
