Went to Elkton -- from there with Wm McCullough to Cat Swamp. Met Davis Kimble there to adjust a line be tween Jno Campbell & John G Freid(?) it by beginning at a stone a corner of Ginn & Richard Dean and ran about 589 W and the parties set a stone on the south side of lane in presence of John Kincaid Richd Dean and others -- went back to Elkton and returned home Heard of death of Rachel Crothers.

23rd Warm day -- commenced repairing carriage for Rev. Helmbold -- Hauled in the last of hay -- Milly & child and Mary Hughes went to Elkton with Mr. Morris -

----- 24 ---- pleasant but dry - ap pearance of rain but very little fell -- corn suffereing -- Oat harvest pretty well over. Flour 4.25 to 4.50 -

Warm morning went to Elkton with Mr. Price and Helen Took dinner at Mr. Walmsley's Milly was there - Met Evans & Creswell to ex amine land papers of Bothwell will walked home -- commenced raining at dark -

----- Sunday 27 ---- Cleared & Rains soon dried up. Milly came home after dinner - Went to Sunday School Received reward books & tickets

Monday 28th Eclipse of sun in morning Terrill got wagon to go to neck for Cow & calf - Lizzy Wilson here in after noon and stayed all night

----- 29 ---- Helped Rachel at machine went to Thomas Roers and got 12 bbls coal -

----- 30 ---- Went to Elkton with Bocut(?) saw Mr. Howard -- Stephen Johnson came here - Rain set in --

31 July 1851 Worked in shop in mor ning -- went to Cherry Hill in afternoon -- Camp meeting begun at Bacon Hill

Saturday 2 ---- Finished Mr Helmbold's carri age -- also Mr Morris's - put shafts to do for Miss B. Went to Lewis's for cotton - Jonathan getting ready for camp meeting
