A little cloudy but no rain to do any good.
Ben carried Virginia Harvey to Gretna on her way to school. Jim tied tobacco all day. Mr Owen is working on tobacco two. Jack Harvey painted most all day. Ben & Henry helped some this evening.
Two life insurance agents come here to day.
Josie got most of the dinner. I baked a peach pie this evening. I made some apple jellie. Went to the orchard and got a basket of apples.
Went to Marvins a few minutes. Come home and dressed a chicken and milked the cows.
The men folks has gone a opossome hunting to night.
Jack Harvey went from here tonight.

Monday, September 15, 1919
A good day. Jim stripped tobacco. Ben worked on Dews's car this morning. This evening he painted on the cow shed & hen house roofs.
Effie & Beaula Brumfield come to see a bout getting schools. I went to Worshams pond. Isla Blair went with me. We did not catch any fish. We drove Bens hores.
Paul Bennett went from Marvins this morning. Henry Blair carried him to Gretna.

Wednesday, September 24, 1919
A beautiful day. The men stripped tobacco until dinner then they loaded the waggon ready to start to Gretna in the morning. John Hutcherson loaded his truck for Marvin. They are going to Danville.
Josie got the dinner.
Henry and Edna went to school. I ironed some this morning and mended some things this evening.
Jim ask me to wake him at three in the morning.

Thursday, September 25, 1919
A good day. Jim and Owen went to Gretna with the tobacco today. Ben went to Gretna with the car. He bough roofing for the hen houses.
Carrie spent the day with Josie.
Lee Brumfield and I went to the river. Lee caught one fish. I did not catch any thing. I was glad to go with him. I bought 10 pounds of sugar from Oscar Booker. I stopped at Mr Dillards while Lee & Dillard gathered some chinquapins.
Marvin went to Danville today. Reese went with him.

Monday, September 29, 1919
A good day. Ben hauled some wood late in the evening. He went to Renan. He let all the children go with him.
Josie and I got dinner. Josie commenced her a quilt for Franklins bed.
Marvin went to meet Jim at Gretna. Jim got home a bout sundown. I was glad to have him back.
Henry and Edna went to school today.
I went to Marvins and gathered some peas for dinner tomorrows.
