very warm in morning - Surveyed for H. C. Mackall Began at stone in A. Harvey's meadow -- Ran from Stone on south of road beginning of "Mar ley" N 60 1/4 E 37 to corner in road in front o fbarn at "Marley" there S 63 1/2 E 8 to a large Maple on bank of Creek -- A pin oak which stood on the end of the 37 per line was gone. Rain came on about 4 Oclock and we adjourned

June 10th 1851 Worked in shop in morning - Went after dinner to Elkton for Doctor -- Court met today. Heard that Shelton had been found guilty of murder of Cor den family. Murphy & Taylor moved to Cecil -- Took sup per at Mr Morris's -- Bought 1/2 bbl Flour of Jno Campbell $2.50
