with Mr Campbell - Court met -- Abram Taylor arraigned for murder of Corden Jury empanelled -- Evidence commenced for State - Shaw and Drummond testified against him -

----- 18 ---- Attended court. Evidence closed -- Grason opened the case, and was followed by Miller and Vickers on the same side and Moon for prisoner. Court adjourned at midnight -- came home by 1 1/2 Oclock

19 June 1851 Jane Watson came to us - Worked in shop. Measured stack of bark for Dawson 2 cords & 62 ft -- 9.9 - 5.2 - 4 ft Heard that Taylor was found quilty of murder in the first degree-- John & Covington went after calf (Rose) to Carter's & brought her home -- There is said to have been frost every morning this week -

----- 20 ---- Trial of Murphy going on at Elkton.

21 Saturday Murphy found guilty - I went to Elkton in afternoon Milly still unwell -- Fog this morning.

----- 23 ---- Warm & cloudy -- worked in shop in morning - Went in afternoon after corn to Thomas Rogers. 36 bu @ 6 1/2 Mr Price & Mr Campbell cutting clover. ----- 14 ---- Went to Cherry Hill for hubs Weather warm -- Mother went home sent letter to Montilion Brown

----- 25 ---- Mowed clover -- Warm day

----- 26 ---- Unwell with headache put up 3 loads hay.

July 1 Worked in shop in morning Cut wheat in afternoon weather very dry

----- 3 ---- Heavy rain - Set out plan(__) Milly's breast broke -- Mr & Mrs Morris came up cai(__) again a little in coining(?)
