69 Clear and Cloudy S.W. July Wednesday, 9th 1879 Went to F. Wilson's and to Brighton (E. Peirce's) and brought Dora home. Annie Kane called and paid her bill. Rained a little about dark. Wrote to cousin D. Archer.

70 Clear Thursday, 10th Jno: W Curhey came to Kalsomine the Hall and office parlor. I went to Peunal Palmer's for butter.

70 Clear S.W. Friday, 11 Warm day. Went to Fulford to Mrs M F Tyson's: to Alfred Hood's and F Wilson's. Curry finishes Kalsomining office parlor. Charly and Dora went to "Avalon" to archery meeting. Thunder storm at tea time. Ernest took tea out of the storm.

75 Clear N.W. July Saturday, 12th 1879 Oiled floor and stairs in the hall had dash to light wagon covesed at Bukoffsky's. Afternoon went to Mrs Mary G Tysons'. Emma Weldon here and had felon lanced.

Clear and Cloudy N.W. 72 Sunday, 13 Beautiful morning but warm fine breeze. Went to S Hoods and F Wilson's driving "Polly" to light buggy. Charley with me. Dora went to meeting.

Clear and Cloudy S.W. 69 Monday, 14th Very warm in the sun. Went to "Brighton" and Jno Abel's. Jny: Howard (of Brookville) brought his daughter for advice &c. Afternoon went to Jno Tasker's.

70 Clear N.W. July Tuesday, 15th 1879 Went to Sandy Spring and to Jno: Abel's "oil finished" the parlor floor.

75 Wednesday, 16th S.W. Hottest day so far 96 in the shade at 2 p.m. 92 at 5.30 pm Went to Jno Tasker's. Jnow King here for advise and med: Harriet and I took tea at "Grove Hill". Went to Jus: Thoma's after night to prescribe for his infant.

Thursday, 17th Very warm, but fine breeze. Went to Jno: Thoma's and to Brighton to see Wilson. Jno: Henerson (Miller) here for advice and med: Went to Asa Stabler's to dress scalp wound for Chas: Hill Jr: Chasely went to Riverside "horseback" Hisbert Kirk called here after tea.

70 Clear NW July Friday, 18 1879 L Hill here and had wound dressed. Took H and the baby to Homewood and left them whilst I went to Brighton to see Wilson C and D went to Brook Grove Archey Meet: Willie to Ashton, but other doors in Cariage house.

69 Clear N.W. Saturday, 19th Geo: Spriggs wife and daughter here for advice for the latter. P. T Stabler called I went to Brighton and to Hetty Stabler's and Jno: Tasker's. Afternoon took Harret Dora and Ed: to Riverside and Leawood Mill's took home "cuttery box" &c. Got corn meal flour and seedlings. Game of Euchre at Mrs Chalfant's in evening.

69 Sunday, 20 Cloudy S.E. Charley and I went to Jno Tasker's. C Hill here and had wound dressed. Dora went to meeting.

60 Clear July Monday, 21st 1879 Went to 'Tasker's and Ashton. Mrs Fsed, Stabler here with her son Tarleton for advice &c. "Oil finished" dining room.

Clear S.W. 68 Tuesday, 22d Jno: King here for advice &c. Went to Jno Tasker's Afternoon went to Fred Stabler's. Tonn Snowden here with boy with cut finger. Hetty Stabler sent for advice and medicine. Charley went to "Walnut Hill" for musical practice not home until nead mid night.

69 Clear and Cloudy Wednesday, 23rd Cyrus Bowen here for advice and med for wife. Chas Hill here and had head dressed. Jno Howard (Brookville) here with daughter. I went to Tasker's. Afternoon went to Allway to see friend Caleb Stabler.

67 Cloudy S.E. July Thursday, 24th 1879 Jno: Howard (Brookville) here for prescription. Ernest here to breakfast. Went to Tasker's and to Alway to see friend Caleb Stabler. Bro Charles dined with is. Sent medicine to Jno Tasker (pills, "churnoidin")

Clear and Cloudy N. S. E and W Friday, 25th Took Harriet, Dora Willie and Edwd: to Homewood in "omnibus" brought cousin Hannah home with us. Commenced raining afternoon and continued at intervals until bedtime. Heavy rain part of the time

Cloudy and Showery 68 Saturday, 26th Rained in gusts nearly all last night. Wm S Bond called. Went to see friend C. Stabler. Rained hard afternon and a continuation of heavy thunder gusts until after night. Heaviest thunder storm of the season thus far. R Addison called for med: for wife.

69 Clear N.W. July Sunday, 27th 1879 Went to Taskers on horseback. Charley took cousin Hannah home and drove me to Alloway and F Tucker's. Jos: Stabler brought us some apples. Afternoon Charley and Willie went to Riverside.

70 Clear and Cloudy S.W. Monday, 28th Took axles off of light buggy and took them to wheels to shops to have new spindles and boxes put in and some new "rims" to wheels. Sent advice and med: to Fulford for Mifs Alice Tyson (by Willie).

Hammond here and had tooth out. Amanda Young here for advice &c. Charley went to Stanmore to archery meeting after tea. Raed: letter from Lewis M Iddings New York.

70 Cloudy Tuesday, 29th S.W. Close and Sultry Went to R Addison's and Tasker's. Edwd Stabler here and had tumor removed from his face. Fred Stabler, wife and son caled. Went to Riverside.

71 Cloudy and Rainy S.E. July Wednesday, 30th 1879 About home all day except at Sandy Spring. Jack Johnson's wife here for advice and med: Charley suffering much with a "boil" or abcess on his neck or angle of lower jaw. Sister Harriet came to Riverside be afternoon stage to Ashton. Went to Bukoffskys and administered ypodermic injection of morphine. Thunder gust.

71 Cloudy S.W. Thursday, 31st Charley quite unwell with his sore face and jaw. Went to S.S. to help and hurry the little buggy wheels. Went to 'Tasko's. Friend E Stabler called and made us a present to a basket of pears for canning. Louis Scofield here.

Clear 71 Friday, August 1st S.W. Charley still suffering much with his face and neck. I went to Mrs Snowden's. Joseph Stabler called for advice. "Archery Club" met here: About 70 persons took tea in the house and Grove. Mrs Knight here for advice. Harriet had very bad attack of sick headache.

60 Cloudy foggy SE August Saturday, 2d 1879 I was up last night with Charley and lanced abcess on his face and jaw. Annie Addison called for advice and med: Herbert K and Richard P I called. Jno Henderson (Miller) called for advice &c. Took Harriet Dora, Alice Pierce, Herbert, Richard and Willie (in omnibus) to Riverside called at Homewood and left Alice.

70 Sunday, 3d Foggy Went to Tasker's to Riverside where we dined (Charley and I) and afternoon we drove down to the Mill to call upon Mr and Mrs. Fry. Charley and Dora afterwards went for a ride in the little buggy, barely got home in time to escape a thunder storm. Jim: Jackson and Annie Chandler called.

Cloudy 71 Monday, 4th S.W. Drove to Fulford (Polly in light wagon) taking Willie. Very hot Rain in afternoon and Evening. Friend Edwd Stabler here for advice &c. Also Wm and Leanna Mitchell with infant. Went to Bukoffsky's

73 Clear and Cloudy S.E. August Tuesday, 5th 1879 Extremely Hot day. Wm Leizear brought his mother for advice &c. I drove "Polly" in light buggy to Riverside.

74 Wednesday, 6th S.W. Hot throughout last night and sultry this morning. Went to Tasker's. Cousin Annie Chandlee called also "Maggy Howard" (colored). Bro Chas: and Charley Fry Iddings called and spent past of the evening with us.

70 Cloudy and Clear S.W. Thursday, 7th Took Charley Frey I to Laurel home to dinner. Rain afternoon. Chas Hill (of Remus) here for advice and med: Heavy Rain in the Evening
