Sunday, March 18, 1923

A good day. Cloudy. Tonight Henry went to Uncle Lee's. Jim went to Mr. Bookers a few minutes this morning. This evening he went to the island with Mr. Mayhew and Mr. Taylor. The river is in its banks again. Ben come home about dark tonight. Found all of the people getting on very well. Nellie got dinner and supper. Bathed Franklin and Mabel and dressed them. Edna and Franklin had company and Mabel of the Hutchenson children come to see them. They had a good time. Heard that Mildred is getting on very well. Do hope she may continue to improve.

Monday, March 19, 1923

Rain this morning. Clear and cold tonight. Jim and Ben have not done much today. They both have head colds. Nellie sewed some this morning. She got most of the dinner and supper. Posie Reynolds come here today to try to sell Ben a car. Could not sell. Heard today that Lizzie Bennett has a fine boy. Mabel slept a nap today and is slow to go to sleep tonight.

A clear cold day. Jim and Ben shucked a little corn. Then Ben went to Rob Hubbards to work on a house. Jim worked on something. I don't know what. Nellie got most of the dinner. I have not done much of anything all day. Thomson sent up here this evening for some butter. Henry and Edna went to Mr. George Emersons. This evening several of the school children went there. Tonight Franklin and Mabel and I are here in the room by ourselves. Jim and Nellie is here. Oh it is so different to what use to be.

A good day. Ben is at Hubbards. Jim and John shucked some corn. The children went to school. Henry and Edna staid all night at George Emersons. Henry come by and changed clothes and got his lunch. I had a letter from Carrie this evening. They were well. Mabel has bin good today. Hattie Gilbert washed here today. The clothes got dry. Nellie got dinner. I cut some salit this evening for tomorrows dinner.

A good day. Jim and John Ward shucked corn all day. Nellie washed a big washing of cloths and got dinner and churned. The children went to school. Henry went to Renan for coffee. Ben has not come home yet. Lizzie Bennett come. Gorden brought her. Edna and I got a letter from Mrs. Car today.
