A good morning. Rain this evening and thunder. Jim and John Ward finished shucking corn today. This evening Jim and Ben helped Norman Booker put some logs under his barn. Ben come from Role Hubbards. We all are glad that he come home. Lizzie Bennett and I went to George Blairs. Had a pleasent day. Earl Bennett come for his mother to go with him home. I come home early. It rained before I got home. Edna come from school sick. She may be taking the measles. I do hope she won't be sick much no matter what is the matter. The branch was up so we could not get water from the spring.

A good day. I got breakfast and milked the cows. Then Ben and Nellie and I went to Straitstone. We bought some things. We come home and I got dinner. Oscar and Effie and Hellen and Hilda and Miss Finch come for some flowers. They would not stay for dinner. After dinner Ben and I went to Gretna. Come home by Johns Saw Tenier a few minutes then went to Curries. Found them all well. Got a lot of turnip greens. Got home o.k. Nellie had made her a dress and killed a chicken. Dressed it. Lelia Ward churned while I was gone. Henry is sick tonight.

A beautiful day. We all staid at home until after dinner except Henry. Lawson Emmerson and Henry went on the mountain. They carried a snack to eat with them. Carrie and family come to Lee Brumfields. Brough my [hand pocket?]. Ben went for it. He let the children and I go with him. We did not get out of the car. Henry went to bed with the headache. Nellie has bin company today. Kate Harvey went to see Pearl today the first time that she has bin out since she was so sick. Jim went off this evening had has not come home yet. Hope he will come soon.

A beautiful day. Ben went this morning to get the horses shod and a [tire?] cut. He got his work done and got home by twelve. Then he eat dinner and went to the island for Guano. He has just eat his supper. 8 o'clock Jim has bin sick all day. John Ward went to the cutting match at Kate Harveys. Nellie made a dress for her self today. I got most of the dinner. Hattie Gilbert was washed here today. She done a good job.

A good day. Ben went to the island for Guano. John Ward went with him. They got home by dinner time. Jim worked cleaning up some land. This morning Jim went to Renan. He carried Mabel with him. Edna come home sick today. We think she has measles. Henry is complaining two. Nellie sewed on her some dresses today. I went to Johnson Reynolds this evening. Mildred Fergerson is able to sit up today. [?sla? B?] and [?enna] Anderson was there. Lizzie Bennett was there. She come home with me. I am glad to have her to stay what she will.
