On motion of Ald. Thompson seconded by Ald. Robinson

Ordered that the [strikeout]petition[/strikeout] Report of the City Engineer with reference to the Construction of a sewer on Upper Colborne street be received and adopted and that that portion with reference to Durham street be referred to the street Committee to report at the next regular meeting of this Council.

Ald. Thompson introduced a By Law to authorize the Construction of a Common sewer in part of Colborne street in the City of Kingston as a local work and improvement under the provisions in that behalf of the Consolidated Municipal Act of 1883 and amendments - which was read a first time

Ald. Harty introduced a By Law to fix a price to be offered for the walks or stalls of the City of Kingston Water Works Company which was read a first time

The Mayor presented Ex Mayor Smythe with his Portrait in Oil - which the Ex Mayor handed over to Ald. J. Wilson Chairman of City Property to be placed in the City Hall
