A good day. Ben and Owen and Marvin went to South Boston to day. Carried tobacco on their cars. They had some trouble but got there in time to sell. They were very well pleased with the sales. Got home a good while before night.

Josie done a big washing this morning. To night she has sick headache. I commenced a sock for Kate to send to Charlie Harvey. I went to Marvins a little while this evening. There is sickness nearly every where at this time. I do hope that the people may soon get well.

Cloudy today and some rain. Ben got up part of his pea hay and part got wet. We got dinner when we got breakfast thought we would strip tobacco. It was so dry that we could not handle it. Josie sewed some.

I dug some potatoes.

Reese and Henry helped me and we built a pig pen and got up the pigs and they got out.

Ben and Owen went a squirrel hunting. Killed four. Ben kept 2 and then would not skin them. So I did it.

Heard to day that Alma and Lonnie are sick. Had a letter from Mary Brumfield. They were well when she wrote. Hope that they may stay so.

A good day. Ben sowed wheat. Owen and Paul Josie and I stripped tobacco. Heard today that John McCormic died this morning. I never have heard of as many deaths and as much sickness as there is now.

The ware houses has closed for a while. Bruce Reynolds come home yester day. Mrs Cook is at Johnsons visiting.

Ben has gone to Mrs Starkeys for seed wheat. He went on his car.

A good day. Ben sowed wheat today. The rest of us tied tobacco most of the day.

Josie come home and got dinner. Carries boys was here this evening and had Hazel with them.

Henry fixed him a dumb bull today. He thinks it great. To night Ben and Josie went to Strait Stone for some thing to eat.

There is lots of sickness a round. Ben had a letter from Jim today he was well.

A good day cool and windy. Ben went to Chatham this morning. Come home and hauled a load of wood.

Mr Owen went to the mill at White Falls did not get his grinding.

Posie Johnson has bin sick heard this evening that Posie Reynolds is sick.

Paul Josie and I stripped tobacco most of the day.

I finished digging the sweet potatoes and Paul hauled them home on the wheel barrow. Chesley Edmons come by here this evening to tell us good by he has got to go to training camp Monday.
