Monday, April 1, 1918
Some rain to day not enough to stop work. Ben helped Marvin Smith cover his barn. Mr Owen plowed.
Josie got dinner and colored some eggs for the children and made some bats for her quilt.
Carrie and the children was here a while this evening. The children had a time hunting eggs. I sowed a few seed in the garden to day.
Eleven oclock by the new time.
Tuesday, April 2, 1918
A good day.
Ben went to Renan this morning for plow points. Went to see Mag a few minutes.
Josie done a big washing and finished by twelve oclock.
Marvin Smith went to Altavista this evening. The three boys and I went with him. I had no business. He kindly offered to take me. I had a pleasant evening. We saw Mr Rice and Mr Rorer. I was glad to see them.

Friday, April 5, 1918
A clear cool day. Frost was plentiful this morning. Ben and Josie went to Cedar Forest this morning. Marvin carried them. Ben brough the cow home. Mrs Carr come with Josie home.
Josie ironed this evening.
I went to see Carrie a little while all was well.

Saturday, April 6, 1918
Ben and Owen plowed some. Josie baked a cake this morning.
Marvin Smith carried Reese and Henry and I to White Falls fishing. We did not catch anything.
Carrie and Marvin went to the Dr with Hazel this evening. He thinks that she has scarlet fever in a milde form. I hope she may soon be well.

Sunday, April 14, 1918
A good day.
Ben and family and Mrs Carr staid at home all day. I went to George Blairs. They were all well but Cordie. She had a bad colde and did not go to Sunday School. Otho and Sallie come with them home from school. Claud Hendrix and Nathaniel Marshal was there. Marvin Smith and Paul Smith went to Sunday School.
Reese was not well enough to go. I come home early and fed my chickens and milked the cows.
We eat colde supper.
Mrs Carr is here yet.
