A good day. Ben plowed this morning. Jim plowed this evening and Ben ditched the spring branch. Henry & Edna went to school. Franklin has bin sick all day his birth day. He is six years olde today. Josie ironed all the morning. I got dinner. Josie sewed some this evening. I sewed on my quilt. Will be glad when I get it done.

Josie and I milked morning and night.

A clear and cool [day].There was frost enough to kill some things. I think it killed most of our strawberry blooms. Jim went to the island for guano this evening he plowed. Ben and Josie and Edna is sick and Mabel. They all have flue we think. Henry went to school. I have done what cooking has bin done. Milked this morning. tonight Josie helped. I know she should not do as much as she does. Hattie washed here this morning. I am distressed a bout them all being sick and I cant do what is needing to be done.

A good day. Cloudy tonight and a little rain. Jim & Ben plowed corn and cut off tobacco hills getting aready to plant tobacco. Mr. Owen carried Alice Thomson & children Mrs Thomson & I and Jane Reynolds to white falls. We did not catch many fish but had a good time. Mrs Car was with Josie. Carrie Reese and the little girls and Kate Harvey come a little while. Virginia H and Doris B come a a while. The children went to the Sulpher Springs. They had a good time Their teachers was with them. They had ice cream.

A good day. Jim + Ben finished scraping out their tobacco. This evening Ben carried Fletcher Car to Long Island. This evening I went and three of the children. I fished a little while. I stopped at Cedar Forest Creek. Caught two fish. Mrs Peak + Mrs Trent come with Ben up to Strait Stone.

Miss Willie Wooding come to see Josie this evening. Kate Harvey come to pick berries. She got some.

Henrys nose has bin bleeding to night. I hope it may quit soon.

A good day we need rain bad. Ben & Jim plowed in the corn and Henry thinned corn all day.

Mrs. Car & Josie strung snaps Mrs. Trent & I scraped the potatos. I baked a pudding. This evening Mrs Hutcherson & Ada Hutcherson come and brought Josie some light rolls hot and some apples. Grace Vale come and picked berries. I went with them to the field.

Hattie bought four gallons of berries. There has bin the most dew berries that I ever saw.

I worked in Franklins foot this morning.
